2012 Dodge Challenger R/T

The invasion of special version of Dodge vehicles, which are currently on display at the Chicago Auto Show, is dominated by the R/T editions of no less than five models. Among them, the Challenger R/T hopes to bring a bit more flavor and power to the line. 

2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8

The big news for the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is its new 470 horsepower 392 cubic inch HEMI V8 engine, but there's a lot more to the updated Challenger than what's under the hood.

• Challenger SRT8 gets a new engine, improved interior and suspension for 2011
• Price range (including options and gas guzzler tax): $44,380 - $51,170/$46,950 as tested
• Powertrain: 6.4 liter V8, 470 hp, 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic, rear-wheel-drive
• EPA fuel economy estimates: 14 MPG city/23 MPG highway (manual), 14/22 (automatic)
• Observed fuel economy: 17.4 MPG
• Best rivals: Chevrolet Camaro SS, Ford Mustang
